Brian Suntken is celebrating his sixth decade this spring journeying around the sun. He received his Master’s in Divinity from The General Theological Seminary, New York City, (1989). At the invitation of the French Government, Brian studied choral and orchestra conducting at L’Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris (1984-1985). Brian completed a first year of a Master’s program in Vocal Performance at The Manhattan School of Music before his study in Paris. He received a Bachelor’s in Music in Vocal Performance from The Manhattan School of Music (1983). Brian has travelled in 26 countries.
Brian’s insights and energy have been incorporated into a variety of settings including keynotes, seminars, strategic planning sessions and parish weekends. A talented speaker and teacher, Brian Suntken has an appeal that transcends barriers of age, culture and occupation. He has an uncanny ability to take the familiar and awaken others to look at it in fresh new ways. Brian has a reputation for revealing and instilling hope and motivating people to deepen their journey with Christ.
Brian Suntken currently serves as the pastor of The Community of Saint John in Hudson, Ohio which was established in 2012 and is committed to following Jesus’ way of love in our own time and our own day. In addition, for the last nine years Brian has served as a Chaplain in Hospice; currently with Crossroads Hospice in Green, Ohio. In his free time, he creates video series; oversees musical programs for Hudson Community Television; and volunteers with the Hudson High School “Swing” Marching Band (14 Seasons).
