Saturday of Lent I - Division

So, there is a strange paradox here: that “sin,” which is usually considered a very negative word, is in actuality a word which implies an affirmation of faith. It is a way of acknowledging, first, that God exists and, second, that there is some discrepancy between how things are and how we think God wants them, between the world of the real and the world of the faith-inspired ideal, between human behavior and the content of the religious challenge for life.
