Paris, Versailles, Giverny

“If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.”

Ernest Hemingway

I studied and lived in Paris many years ago. Paris is often referred to as the City of Light (La Ville Lumière), both because of its leading role during the Age of Enlightenment and more literally because Paris was one of the first large European cities to use gas street lighting on a grand scale on its boulevards and monuments. The City of Light is never far from my thoughts and remembrance of a most “moveable feast”. This page is a collection of my photographs from numerous visits and experiences.
